so, i figure i can just about squeeze one more post in before february comes around. a laid back week culminating in a -free wednesday afternoon- (now when was the last time i remember having that?). baked again earlier this week - decided to veer off the beaten chocolate track and tried ginger cheesecake. it's got a ginger biscuit based base (with about 6 times the amount of cinammon recommended in the recipe), crystallised ginger bits in the cake and its meant to have ginger bits as a topping (which isn't to be, since i tried spreading whipped cream on a hot cake. for future reference, generally not advisable).

today's an absolutely amazing day, given it's london and given its meant to be winter. cool, windy, crisp, clear, bright, sunny. can't ask for anymore. was walking through kensington gardens on the way to comm lunch in bayswater in some sort of dazed wonderment at perfect days like these :) and yes, i took a photo (plus bare trees, now how long has it been since i've posted one of those? ;)
