road trip! :)

last saturday. london, cantebury, dover, a bit of beach somewhere round folkstone, hastings, london. loads and loads of fun! (though i was sleeping in the backseat for most of it and bing wen and jamin did most of the work driving and navigating)

so, from left to right, top down: xiao en and charlene planning the route / bing wen the driver / cantebury cathedral (it was closing early cos of scout's day, and we were cheapo not wanting to pay. dropped into starbucks and found its back window looked right onto the cathedral! :D) / a bit of english countryside off the a2 / group photo, with the camera propped on the roof of the car on a tripod. the sea fades into the sky in the horizon, neat huh :) / the windblown shrubs on the white cliffs of dover / the wind blown us on the white cliffs of dover / the white cliffs (limestone, calcium carbonate) of dover / fish and chips (or fish and roe) at hastings, a seaside town known for its pier and arcades.

wound up playing what-reminds-you-of-singapore games (like nasilemakwaychapopiahorfun...) and singing the medley of national day songs (it's slightly scary, being able to remember the whole medley they play at the end of the parade). which then became disney songs (they rule!) then any songs that a critical mass of us knew how to sing/hum.

in the meanwhile, happy birthday wei shan in advanced! :) and it's back to lab reports on molybdenum....oooooh :P
